Joe McPhee's Survival Unit III plays The Kranzberg this Saturday! Seriously, it will be one not one to miss. McPhee also leads a workshop at FPCC ( Bastian Theatre building, T-165 ) from 2-3pm, a rare chance to meet the man and hear more about his history, techniques, and theories.

New Music Circle's 53rd Season Lineup: 2011 / 2012

Hello NMC Friends!

I hope everyone's summer has been excellent. We've been hard at work here at New Music Circle getting everything prepared for another exciting year of music and we are pleased to announce our confirmed 2011 / 2012 lineup.

This season promises to be a great mix of artists and styles; everything from abstract electronics and ecstatic free jazz to composed pieces and experimental film.  In the tradition of experimentation, we are also very excited to announce the addition of local DJ's guesting at a handful of these concerts, as well as having a few shows hosted at new spaces.

NMC hopes to post a variety of updates and information on this new blog, including interviews with this years artists, exclusive live videos, concert pictures, and information on other exciting local events and music around town. Please bookmark us and check back for updates, and don't forget to sign up on our NMC mailing list, friend us on Facebook, and we should have a Twitter very soon!

Here is our 2011/2012 lineup, I hope to see you there! - J
